Specialty vehicles
Classic Car, Motorcycle, Boat and RV Insurance
Coverage designed around how you own and enjoy vehicles beyond the everyday car.
Motorcycles, collector cars, boats, trailers and recreational vehicles have different values, storage patterns and liability exposures. A standard auto policy may not be the best fit.
Match coverage to the vehicle
We consider agreed or stated values where available, seasonal use, accessories, towing needs, storage and how often the vehicle is operated.
Classic and collector cars
Motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs
Boats and personal watercraft
RVs, campers and trailers
Coordinate household liability
Specialty vehicles should be disclosed when evaluating umbrella coverage and overall liability limits.
Coverage solutions we help you compare
We explain the available coverage choices and the tradeoffs that matter for your situation.
Classic cars: agreed value and eligible use
We compare available agreed-value protection and review how a collector vehicle is used, stored and driven. Mileage, driver and regular-use requirements can affect eligibility. The goal is to insure an eligible classic for the value and use agreed with the carrier, not assume an ordinary auto policy is equivalent.
Motorcycles: accessories and liability options
We review motorcycle liability, available UM/UIM options, physical damage, custom parts and riding gear. Accessories and passenger exposures deserve attention, and limits or eligibility can differ from the protection on your everyday car.
Boats: valuation, towing and water-related exposures
We compare available watercraft valuation, liability, towing and equipment options. Navigation limits, salvage or wreckage removal and fuel-spill provisions may matter, so we explain what the offered boat policy includes rather than assuming every feature is standard.
RVs: recreational versus full-time protection
We discuss whether an RV is used for vacations, seasonal trips or as a primary residence. We compare suitable liability, belongings, emergency-expense and assistance options where available, including specialized full-time arrangements when appropriate.
ATVs and UTVs: off-road use and custom equipment
We review ATV and UTV operators, use, storage, modifications and accessories, then compare available liability and physical-damage options. Off-road, recreational, farm or business use can require different underwriting; the actual use should match the offered policy.
Trailers and the equipment you carry
We discuss utility trailers, boat trailers and the equipment or belongings carried with your recreational vehicles. We review available physical-damage and contents options, values and deductibles, checking which policy addresses each item instead of assuming towing a trailer insures everything on it.
Coverage and eligibility depend on the insurer, underwriting and actual policy terms.
Questions worth asking
Can I use classic car insurance for a daily driver?
Collector policies often restrict daily commuting or regular transportation and may require another vehicle for everyday use. Tell us how you actually drive the car so we can explore a suitable collector or standard auto arrangement rather than assume eligibility.
When might a lender or marina require boat insurance?
A lender, marina, storage facility or other party may require proof of specified insurance even when a general legal requirement does not apply to your situation. Share the written requirements so we can compare available protection and required limits.
What affects motorcycle insurance cost, including seasonal use?
The motorcycle, operators, location, claims, use and selected limits affect pricing. We can review available discounts and deductible choices. Storage still carries theft, fire and other risks, so discuss seasonal options before canceling protection.
Does homeowners or auto insurance already cover my recreational vehicle?
Do not assume so. Homeowners and auto policies may have limited or different protection for boats, trailers, ATVs or other recreational vehicles. We review the existing wording and explain when a dedicated policy or endorsement may be appropriate.
Does ATV or UTV insurance allow use on public roads?
An insurance policy does not by itself make public-road use legal. Applicable state and local rules, vehicle requirements and policy restrictions are separate questions. Tell us where and how you intend to operate the vehicle so we can review whether an offered policy fits that use.
Helpful next steps
For a comparison, share the vehicle or watercraft specifications, operators, value, storage, intended use and modifications. Tell us about trailers, seasonal storage or changes in use.
